Let the sorting begin!

If you've been wondering why I've been collecting all those bottle caps and jar lids, or if you're one of those dedicated few saving them for me, stay tuned! I've begun the first step of my upcoming art piece...sorting. By the way...this is only about a quarter of the total amount!

Sounds fun, right? It's actually very relaxing, and I've enlisted my two year-old  daughter to help.

So keep collecting everyone! Bottle caps, jar lids, any color, no color, big and small.

Spring break pottery fired!

Been experimenting with corrugation, red clay and mica temper.

An ugly pot given a purpose suddenly doesn't look so ugly.

Not yet fired. An attempt at a squash pot. This started with a small mouth, but I cut it down after a particularly persistent crack in the rim. Sometimes the clay decides what it wants to be...

New Year

Spent the morning at the park with my girls. A perfect day. Created this on site: camera phone , wireless printer, journaling supplies. It's gonna be a good year!
